Sympathetic Snicker

It was a joke which turned out unfunny at all. Not even a sympathetic snicker I'd say.
It was a joke and still is a joke.
Circumstances.
They put me in the know.
More than I should, more than I wanted.
Anyway.
Lying is one thing.
Lying to others is the other.
And lying to yourself, trust me, it's another joke.
Which you wouldn't laugh at sooner or later.
